EU-funded MOSBRI, an integrated consortium of 13 academic centres of excellence and two industrial partners from 11 European countries, will spearhead the study of the architecture, dynamics and interactions of the giant molecules of life: proteins, DNA, RNA, polysaccharides and lipids. MOSBRI will explore how living organisms work at the crucial intermediate level between atomic-resolution structural descriptions and cellular-scale observations, enabling invaluable insights into the complex behaviour of macromolecular assemblies. MOSBRI will design innovative methodologies and quality control guidelines, provide free of charge access for to MOSBRI’s unparalleled suite of instruments and expertise, and widely disseminate know-how about the latest technological developments. Overall, it will help maintain Europe's role as a global leader in the field of molecular biophysics.
